‘Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”‘
How could Jesus let this woman free without condemnation?
What people need is forgiveness, not condemnation. That’s what Jesus offers to all of us. “Go and sin no more.” Jesus came to offer forgiveness, not condemnation. Fear of death, guilt and shame has condemned this woman.
Jesus knows that No one needs to be condemned because we all have been condemned to death. We all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. And the wages of sins is death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23.
It is pleasant to hear from Jesus, “neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Have you heard Jesus say to you, “neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more?”
Heavenly Father, thank you for your forgiveness, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
