SUMMARY:Sunday Worship
DESCRIPTION:WARD  MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Ephesians 2:11-22 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n11 Therefore\, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ\, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise\, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. \n14 For he himself is our peace\, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier\, the dividing wall of hostility\, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two\, thus making peace\, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross\, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. \n19 Consequently\, you are no longer foreigners and strangers\, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household\, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets\, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Pastor. DESCRIPTION: WARD MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n  \n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \n  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Hebrews 12:4-11 \n4 In your struggle against sin\, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says\, \n“My son\, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline\,\nand do not lose heart when he rebukes you\,\n6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves\,\nand he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a] \n7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate\, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover\, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good\, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time\, but painful. Later on\, however\, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. \n \n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. Yet when they turned and cried to you\, you heard from heaven\, and many times you delivered them according to your mercies. 29 And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments\, but sinned against your rules\, which if a person does them\, he shall live by them\, and they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck and would not obey. 30 Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. 31 Nevertheless\, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them\, for you are a gracious and merciful God. \n32 “Now\, therefore\, our God\, the great\, the mighty\, and the awesome God\, who keeps covenant and steadfast love\, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us\, upon our kings\, our princes\, our priests\, our prophets\, our fathers\, and all your people\, since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day. 33 Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us\, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly. 34 Our kings\, our princes\, our priests\, and our fathers have not kept your law or paid attention to your commandments and your warnings that you gave them. 35 Even in their own kingdom\, and amid your great goodness that you gave them\, and in the large and rich land that you set before them\, they did not serve you or turn from their wicked works. 36 Behold\, we are slaves this day; in the land that you gave to our fathers to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts\, behold\, we are slaves. 37 And its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please\, and we are in great distress. \n38 [a] “Because of all this we make a firm covenant in writing; on the sealed document are the names of[b] our princes\, our Levites\, and our priests.\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Sephora Maxo on “Renewed by God’s Faithfulness: A Journey of Repentance\, Mercy and Convenant Renewal\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Sephora Maxo\nScripture reading: Nehemiah 9-28-38\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M. https://wmbaptistchurch.ca In-person church services commence at 10:30 A.M.              Invite families and friends. \nCelebration Zone on-site- Sundays @10:30 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. DESCRIPTION: WARD MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n  \n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \n  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Nehemiah 5 \n5 Now the men and their wives raised a great outcry against their fellow Jews. 2 Some were saying\, “We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive\, we must get grain.” \n3 Others were saying\, “We are mortgaging our fields\, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine.” \n4 Still others were saying\, “We have had to borrow money to pay the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards. 5 Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs\, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved\, but we are powerless\, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.” \n6 When I heard their outcry and these charges\, I was very angry. 7 I pondered them in my mind and then accused the nobles and officials. I told them\, “You are charging your own people interest!” So I called together a large meeting to deal with them 8 and said: “As far as possible\, we have bought back our fellow Jews who were sold to the Gentiles. Now you are selling your own people\, only for them to be sold back to us!” They kept quiet\, because they could find nothing to say. \n9 So I continued\, “What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies? 10 I and my brothers and my men are also lending the people money and grain. But let us stop charging interest! 11 Give back to them immediately their fields\, vineyards\, olive groves and houses\, and also the interest you are charging them—one percent of the money\, grain\, new wine and olive oil.”\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Sephora Maxo on “Nehemiah 5”\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Sephora Maxo on ‘Nehemiah 5’\nScripture reading – Nehemiah 5\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?” \n3 Tobiah the Ammonite\, who was at his side\, said\, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!” \n4 Hear us\, our God\, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. 5 Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight\, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders. \n6 So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height\, for the people worked with all their heart. \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down\, and its gates have been burned with fire.” \n4 When I heard these things\, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said: \n“Lord\, the God of heaven\, the great and awesome God\, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments\, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants\, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites\, including myself and my father’s family\, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands\, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses. \n8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses\, saying\, ‘If you are unfaithful\, I will scatter you among the nations\, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands\, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon\, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’ \n10 “They are your servants and your people\, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord\, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. In the same way\, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras\, our dear fellow servant\,[a] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[b] behalf\, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. \n9 For this reason\, since the day we heard about you\, we have not stopped praying for you. AT WMBC \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: John 4:1-26 \n4 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John— 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized\, but his disciples. 3 So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. \n4 Now he had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar\, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there\, and Jesus\, tired as he was from the journey\, sat down by the well. It was about noon. \n7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water\, Jesus said to her\, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) \n9 The Samaritan woman said to him\, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a]) \n10 Jesus answered her\, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink\, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” \n11 “Sir\,” the woman said\, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob\, who gave us the well and drank from it himself\, as did also his sons and his livestock?” \n13 Jesus answered\, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again\, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed\, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” \n15 The woman said to him\, “Sir\, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” \n16 He told her\, “Go\, call your husband and come back.” \n17 “I have no husband\,” she replied. \nJesus said to her\, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is\, you have had five husbands\, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” \n19 “Sir\,” the woman said\, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain\, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” \n21 “Woman\,” Jesus replied\, “believe me\, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know\, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth\, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit\, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” \n25 The woman said\, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes\, he will explain everything to us.” \n26 Then Jesus declared\, “I\, the one speaking to you—I am he.” \nPraise and worship contd. \nMessage: “Personal Encounter With Jesus” by Pastor Gunn \n \nChristmas box deadline for collection is November 13.
