Yet when they turned and cried to you\, you heard from heaven\, and many times you delivered them according to your mercies. 29 And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments\, but sinned against your rules\, which if a person does them\, he shall live by them\, and they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck and would not obey. 30 Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. 31 Nevertheless\, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them\, for you are a gracious and merciful God. \n32 “Now\, therefore\, our God\, the great\, the mighty\, and the awesome God\, who keeps covenant and steadfast love\, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us\, upon our kings\, our princes\, our priests\, our prophets\, our fathers\, and all your people\, since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day. 33 Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us\, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly. 34 Our kings\, our princes\, our priests\, and our fathers have not kept your law or paid attention to your commandments and your warnings that you gave them. 35 Even in their own kingdom\, and amid your great goodness that you gave them\, and in the large and rich land that you set before them\, they did not serve you or turn from their wicked works. 36 Behold\, we are slaves this day; in the land that you gave to our fathers to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts\, behold\, we are slaves. 37 And its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please\, and we are in great distress. \n38 [a] “Because of all this we make a firm covenant in writing; on the sealed document are the names of[b] our princes\, our Levites\, and our priests.\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Sephora Maxo on “Renewed by God’s Faithfulness: A Journey of Repentance\, Mercy and Convenant Renewal\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Sephora Maxo\nScripture reading: Nehemiah 9-28-38\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M. https://wmbaptistchurch.ca In-person church services commence at 10:30 A.M.              Invite families and friends. \nCelebration Zone on-site- Sundays @10:30 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. I told them\, “You are charging your own people interest!” So I called together a large meeting to deal with them 8 and said: “As far as possible\, we have bought back our fellow Jews who were sold to the Gentiles. Now you are selling your own people\, only for them to be sold back to us!” They kept quiet\, because they could find nothing to say. \n9 So I continued\, “What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies? 10 I and my brothers and my men are also lending the people money and grain. But let us stop charging interest! 11 Give back to them immediately their fields\, vineyards\, olive groves and houses\, and also the interest you are charging them—one percent of the money\, grain\, new wine and olive oil.”\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Sephora Maxo on “Nehemiah 5”\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Sephora Maxo on ‘Nehemiah 5’\nScripture reading – Nehemiah 5\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down\, and its gates have been burned with fire.” \n4 When I heard these things\, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said: \n“Lord\, the God of heaven\, the great and awesome God\, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments\, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants\, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites\, including myself and my father’s family\, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands\, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses. \n8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses\, saying\, ‘If you are unfaithful\, I will scatter you among the nations\, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands\, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon\, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’ \n10 “They are your servants and your people\, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord\, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” \nI was cupbearer to the king. \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. In the same way\, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras\, our dear fellow servant\,[a] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[b] behalf\, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. \n9 For this reason\, since the day we heard about you\, we have not stopped praying for you. AT WMBC \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: John 4:1-26 \n4 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John— 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized\, but his disciples. 3 So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. \n4 Now he had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar\, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there\, and Jesus\, tired as he was from the journey\, sat down by the well. It was about noon. \n7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water\, Jesus said to her\, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) \n9 The Samaritan woman said to him\, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a]) \n10 Jesus answered her\, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink\, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” \n11 “Sir\,” the woman said\, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob\, who gave us the well and drank from it himself\, as did also his sons and his livestock?” \n13 Jesus answered\, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again\, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed\, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” \n15 The woman said to him\, “Sir\, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” \n16 He told her\, “Go\, call your husband and come back.” \n17 “I have no husband\,” she replied. \nJesus said to her\, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is\, you have had five husbands\, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” \n19 “Sir\,” the woman said\, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain\, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” \n21 “Woman\,” Jesus replied\, “believe me\, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know\, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth\, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit\, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” \n25 The woman said\, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes\, he will explain everything to us.” \n26 Then Jesus declared\, “I\, the one speaking to you—I am he.” \nPraise and worship contd. \nMessage: “Personal Encounter With Jesus” by Pastor Gunn \n \nChristmas box deadline for collection is November 13. Like the rest\, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us\, God\, who is rich in mercy\, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus\, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace\, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved\, through faith—and this is not from yourselves\, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works\, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork\, created in Christ Jesus to do good works\, which God prepared in advance for us to do. \nJew and Gentile Reconciled Through Christ\n11 Therefore\, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ\, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise\, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. \n14 For he himself is our peace\, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier\, the dividing wall of hostility\, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two\, thus making peace\, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross\, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. \n19 Consequently\, you are no longer foreigners and strangers\, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household\, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets\, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. \n\n  \nPraise and Worship Contd. \nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nMessage: “Are you living in the Old or the New life?” by  Ps. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ\, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace\, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood\, the forgiveness of sins\, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding\, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure\, which he purposed in Christ\, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. \n11 In him we were also chosen\,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will\, 12 in order that we\, who were the first to put our hope in Christ\, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth\, the gospel of your salvation. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice\, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me\, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. AT WMBC. \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Announcements/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: John 21:4-14 \n4 Early in the morning\, Jesus stood on the shore\, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. \n5 He called out to them\, “Friends\, haven’t you any fish?” \n“No\,” they answered. \n6 He said\, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did\, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. \n7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter\, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say\, “It is the Lord\,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat\, towing the net full of fish\, for they were not far from shore\, about a hundred yards.[a] 9 When they landed\, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it\, and some bread. \n10 Jesus said to them\, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish\, 153\, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them\, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him\, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came\, took the bread and gave it to them\, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead. \nSpeaker:  Pastor Gary \nMessage Title – “Breakfast on the Beach” \nCell Groups: \n-Gary Hockridge and Hercules Tupas\, E. AT WMBC. \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Announcements/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: Jude 3-16  \n\nThe Sin and Doom of Ungodly People\n3 Dear friends\, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share\, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. 4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about[a] long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people\, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. \n5 Though you already know all this\, I want to remind you that the Lord[b] at one time delivered his people out of Egypt\, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness\, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7 In a similar way\, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. \n8 In the very same way\, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies\, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings. 9 But even the archangel Michael\, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses\, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said\, “The Lord rebuke you!”[c] 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand\, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them. \n11 Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion. \n12 These people are blemishes at your love feasts\, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain\, blown along by the wind; autumn trees\, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea\, foaming up their shame; wandering stars\, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. \n14 Enoch\, the seventh from Adam\, prophesied about them: “See\, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone\, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness\, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”[d] 16 These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. \nSpeaker:  Pastor Gary Hockridge \nMessage Title – “Judgment Assured” \nLuke 15:11–32 \nCell Groups: \n-Gary Hockridge and Hercules Tupas\, E. AT WMBC. \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Announcements/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: Luke 15:11–32 \n\nThe Parable of the Lost Son\n11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father\, ‘Father\, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. \n13 “Not long after that\, the younger son got together all he had\, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything\, there was a severe famine in that whole country\, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country\, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating\, but no one gave him anything. \n17 “When he came to his senses\, he said\, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare\, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father\, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. \n“But while he was still a long way off\, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son\, threw his arms around him and kissed him. \n21 “The son said to him\, ‘Father\, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ \n22 “But the father said to his servants\, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. \n25 “Meanwhile\, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house\, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come\,’ he replied\, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ \n28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father\, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home\, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ \n31 “‘My son\,’ the father said\, ‘you are always with me\, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad\, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’” \n\nSpeaker:  Pastor Gary Hockridge \nMessage Title – “A Father’s Heart” \nLuke 15:11–32 \nCell Groups: \n-Gary Hockridge and Hercules Tupas\, E. Please send them on their way in a manner that honors God. 7 It was for the sake of the Name that they went out\, receiving no help from the pagans. 8 We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth. \n9 I wrote to the church\, but Diotrephes\, who loves to be first\, will not welcome us. 10 So when I come\, I will call attention to what he is doing\, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that\, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church. \n11 Dear friend\, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. 12 Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone—and even by the truth itself. We also speak well of him\, and you know that our testimony is true. \n13 I have much to write you\, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon\, and we will talk face to face. \nPeace to you. The friends here send their greetings. Greet the friends there by name. \n. \nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nPraise and Worship Contd. \nCommunion \nMessage by Pastor Gary Hockridge \nMessage Title – “KEEP THE TRUTH” \n3 John 1:1-14 \nBenediction \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nWMBC is… \n(Vision Statement) “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \n(Mission Statement)“”Transformation”- Romans 12:2 (Vision Statement) \n– All are welcome at WMBC \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nANNOUNCEMENTS \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin\, and there is sin that does not lead to death. \n18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe\, and the evil one cannot harm them. 19 We know that we are children of God\, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding\, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. \n21 Dear children\, keep yourselves from idols. \n\nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nPraise and Worship Contd. \nMessage by Ps.Gary Hockridge \nMessage Title – “WATCH WHAT YOU HEAR” \n1 John 5:13-21 \nBenediction \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nWMBC is… \n“Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \n(Mission Statement) \n“Transformation”- Romans 12:2 (Vision Statement) \n– All are welcome at WMBC \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nANNOUNCEMENTS \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M.
