SUMMARY:Sunday Worship Service
DESCRIPTION: WARD MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n  \n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \n  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Nehemiah 13: 1-3\, 8-9\, 17-30  \nNehemiah’s Final Reforms\n13 On that day the Book of Moses was read aloud in the hearing of the people and there it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever be admitted into the assembly of God\, 2 because they had not met the Israelites with food and water but had hired Balaam to call a curse down on them. (Our God\, however\, turned the curse into a blessing.) 3 When the people heard this law\, they excluded from Israel all who were of foreign descent. \n\n8 I was greatly displeased and threw all Tobiah’s household goods out of the room. 9 I gave orders to purify the rooms\, and then I put back into them the equipment of the house of God\, with the grain offerings and the incense. \n17 I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them\, “What is this wicked thing you are doing—desecrating the Sabbath day? 18 Didn’t your ancestors do the same things\, so that our God brought all this calamity on us and on this city? Now you are stirring up more wrath against Israel by desecrating the Sabbath.” \n19 When evening shadows fell on the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath\, I ordered the doors to be shut and not opened until the Sabbath was over. I stationed some of my own men at the gates so that no load could be brought in on the Sabbath day. 20 Once or twice the merchants and sellers of all kinds of goods spent the night outside Jerusalem. 21 But I warned them and said\, “Why do you spend the night by the wall? If you do this again\, I will arrest you.” From that time on they no longer came on the Sabbath. 22 Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and go and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. \nRemember me for this also\, my God\, and show mercy to me according to your great love. \n23 Moreover\, in those days I saw men of Judah who had married women from Ashdod\, Ammon and Moab. 24 Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or the language of one of the other peoples\, and did not know how to speak the language of Judah. 25 I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath in God’s name and said: “You are not to give your daughters in marriage to their sons\, nor are you to take their daughters in marriage for your sons or for yourselves. 26 Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God\, and God made him king over all Israel\, but even he was led into sin by foreign women. 27 Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women?” \n28 One of the sons of Joiada son of Eliashib the high priest was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite. And I drove him away from me. \n29 Remember them\, my God\, because they defiled the priestly office and the covenant of the priesthood and of the Levites. \n30 So I purified the priests and the Levites of everything foreign\, and assigned them duties\, each to his own task. \n\n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: RESTORE by Sephora\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nWMBC is… \n(Vision Statement) “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \n(Mission Statement)“Transformation”- Romans 12:2 (Vision Statement) \n– All are welcome at WMBC \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M. https://wmbaptistchurch.ca In-person church services commence at 10:30 A.M.              Invite families and  friends. \nCelebration Zone on-site- Sundays @10:30 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.         ( TBC ). It says\, \n“My son\, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline\,\nand do not lose heart when he rebukes you\,\n6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves\,\nand he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a] \n7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate\, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover\, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good\, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time\, but painful. Later on\, however\, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. \n \n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion\, while he was eating with them\, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem\, but wait for the gift my Father promised\, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water\, but in a few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.” \n6 Then they gathered around him and asked him\, “Lord\, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” \n7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem\, and in all Judea and Samaria\, and to the ends of the earth.” \n9 After he said this\, he was taken up before their very eyes\, and a cloud hid him from their sight. \n10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going\, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee\,” they said\, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? Yet when they turned and cried to you\, you heard from heaven\, and many times you delivered them according to your mercies. 29 And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments\, but sinned against your rules\, which if a person does them\, he shall live by them\, and they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck and would not obey. 30 Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. 31 Nevertheless\, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them\, for you are a gracious and merciful God. \n32 “Now\, therefore\, our God\, the great\, the mighty\, and the awesome God\, who keeps covenant and steadfast love\, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us\, upon our kings\, our princes\, our priests\, our prophets\, our fathers\, and all your people\, since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day. 33 Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us\, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly. 34 Our kings\, our princes\, our priests\, and our fathers have not kept your law or paid attention to your commandments and your warnings that you gave them. 35 Even in their own kingdom\, and amid your great goodness that you gave them\, and in the large and rich land that you set before them\, they did not serve you or turn from their wicked works. 36 Behold\, we are slaves this day; in the land that you gave to our fathers to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts\, behold\, we are slaves. 37 And its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please\, and we are in great distress. \n38 [a] “Because of all this we make a firm covenant in writing; on the sealed document are the names of[b] our princes\, our Levites\, and our priests.\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Sephora Maxo on “Renewed by God’s Faithfulness: A Journey of Repentance\, Mercy and Convenant Renewal\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Sephora Maxo\nScripture reading: Nehemiah 9-28-38\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. Also appoint residents of Jerusalem as guards\, some at their posts and some near their own houses.” \nThe List of the Exiles Who Returned\n4 Now the city was large and spacious\, but there were few people in it\, and the houses had not yet been rebuilt. 5 So my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles\, the officials and the common people for registration by families. I found the genealogical record of those who had been the first to return. This is what I found written there: \n\n6 These are the people of the province who came up from the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had taken captive (they returned to Jerusalem and Judah\, each to his own town\, 7 in company with Zerubbabel\, Joshua\, Nehemiah\, Azariah\, Raamiah\, Nahamani\, Mordecai\, Bilshan\, Mispereth\, Bigvai\, Nehum and Baanah):The list of the men of Israel: \n\n  \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised\, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised\, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ\, we are of all people most to be pitied. \n20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead\, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man\, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die\, so in Christ all will be made alive.\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps.Gunn on “Jesus’ Resurrection brings hope”\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Ps.Jusuf\nScripture reading\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. DESCRIPTION: WARD MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n  \n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \n  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Nehemiah 5 \n5 Now the men and their wives raised a great outcry against their fellow Jews. 2 Some were saying\, “We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive\, we must get grain.” \n3 Others were saying\, “We are mortgaging our fields\, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine.” \n4 Still others were saying\, “We have had to borrow money to pay the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards. 5 Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs\, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved\, but we are powerless\, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.” \n6 When I heard their outcry and these charges\, I was very angry. 7 I pondered them in my mind and then accused the nobles and officials. I told them\, “You are charging your own people interest!” So I called together a large meeting to deal with them 8 and said: “As far as possible\, we have bought back our fellow Jews who were sold to the Gentiles. Now you are selling your own people\, only for them to be sold back to us!” They kept quiet\, because they could find nothing to say. \n9 So I continued\, “What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies? 10 I and my brothers and my men are also lending the people money and grain. But let us stop charging interest! 11 Give back to them immediately their fields\, vineyards\, olive groves and houses\, and also the interest you are charging them—one percent of the money\, grain\, new wine and olive oil.”\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Sephora Maxo on “Nehemiah 5”\n\n\nBenediction\n\n\n\nAnnouncements:\nEvening Service\n \n\nFrom 5:00 to 6:30 PM\nSermon by Sephora Maxo on ‘Nehemiah 5’\nScripture reading – Nehemiah 5\n\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M. https://wmbaptistchurch.ca In-person church services commence at 10:30 A.M. He ridiculed the Jews\, 2 and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria\, he said\, “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?” \n3 Tobiah the Ammonite\, who was at his side\, said\, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!” \n4 Hear us\, our God\, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. 5 Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight\, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders. \n6 So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height\, for the people worked with all their heart. \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.8 The priests did not ask\,  ‘Where is the Lord?’\nThose who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me.\nThe prophets prophesied by Baal\, following worthless idols. \n9 “Therefore I bring charges against you again\,” declares the Lord. “And I will bring charges against your children’s children.10 Cross over to the coasts of Cyprus and look\,\nsend to Kedar and observe closely; see if there has ever been anything like this:\n11 Has a nation ever changed its gods?  (Yet they are not gods at all.)\nBut my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols.\n12 Be appalled at this\, you heavens\, and shudder with great horror\,” declares the Lord.\n13 “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me\, the spring of living water\, and have dug their own cisterns\,  broken cisterns that cannot hold water.\n14 Is Israel a servant\, a slave by birth?  Why then has he become plunder? 15 Lions have roared; they have growled at him. They have laid waste his land; his towns are burned and deserted. 16 Also\, the men of Memphis and Tahpanhes have cracked your skull.17 Have you not brought this on yourselves    by forsaking the Lord your God\nwhen he led you in the way?18 Now why go to Egypt  to drink water from the Nile?\nAnd why go to Assyria to drink water from the Euphrates? \n19 Your wickedness will punish you;  your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize  how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God  and have no awe of me\,” declares the Lord\, the Lord Almighty. 20 “Long ago you broke off your yoke  and tore off your bonds; you said\, ‘I will not serve you!’\nIndeed\, on every high hill  and under every spreading tree  you lay down as a prostitute.\n21 I had planted you like a choice vine  of sound and reliable stock. How then did you turn against me into a corrupt\, wild vine? 22 Although you wash yourself with soap\nand use an abundance of cleansing powder\, the stain of your guilt is still before me\,”\ndeclares the Sovereign Lord. 23 “How can you say\, ‘I am not defiled; I have not run after the Baals’? See how you behaved in the valley;  consider what you have done.\nYou are a swift she-camel  running here and there\, 24 a wild donkey accustomed to the desert\, sniffing the wind in her craving—    in her heat who can restrain her?\nAny males that pursue her need not tire themselves;  at mating time they will find her.\n25 Do not run until your feet are bare  and your throat is dry. But you said\, ‘It’s no use!\nlove foreign gods\,  and I must go after them.’ \n26 “As a thief is disgraced when he is caught\,  so the people of Israel are disgraced—\nthey\, their kings and their officials\,  their priests and their prophets. 27 They say to wood\, ‘You are my father\,’  and to stone\, ‘You gave me birth.’ They have turned their backs to me  and not their faces; yet when they are in trouble\, they say\,  ‘Come and save us!’\n28 Where then are the gods you made for yourselves?   Let them come if they can save you  when you are in trouble! For you\, Judah\, have as many gods as you have towns. 29 “Why do you bring charges against me? You have all rebelled against me\,”\ndeclares the Lord. 30 “In vain I punished your people; they did not respond to correction.\nYour sword has devoured your prophets  like a ravenous lion. \n31 “You of this generation\, consider the word of the Lord: \n“Have I been a desert to Israel  or a land of great darkness? Why do my people say\, ‘We are free to roam; we will come to you no more’? 32 Does a young woman forget her jewelry\, a bride her wedding ornaments? Yet my people have forgotten me\, days without number.33 How skilled you are at pursuing love! Even the worst of women can learn from your ways.34 On your clothes is found  the lifeblood of the innocent poor\,\nthough you did not catch them breaking in. Yet in spite of all this 35  you say\, ‘I am innocent;  he is not angry with me.’ But I will pass judgment on you because you say\, ‘I have not sinned.’36 Why do you go about so much\, changing your ways?\nYou will be disappointed by Egypt as you were by Assyria. 37 You will also leave that place with your hands on your head\, for the Lord has rejected those you trust;\nyou will not be helped by them. \nPraise and Worship Contd. \nCommunion \nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nMessage: “ Build ” by  Sephora Pierre-Louis \nBenediction \nAnnouncements \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. \nCovid-19 Precautions \nPray without ceasing\, continue to be diligent.\nStay home\, especially if showing symptoms.\nWash hands frequently with soap and water!!!\nSanitize hands and surfaces.\nWear masks; still consider others ( if in enclosed areas ) \nCell Groups: \n-Gary Hockridge and Hercules Tupas\, E. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down\, and its gates have been burned with fire.” \n4 When I heard these things\, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said: \n“Lord\, the God of heaven\, the great and awesome God\, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments\, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants\, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites\, including myself and my father’s family\, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands\, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses. \n8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses\, saying\, ‘If you are unfaithful\, I will scatter you among the nations\, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands\, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon\, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’ \n10 “They are your servants and your people\, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord\, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” \nI was cupbearer to the king. \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. DESCRIPTION: WARD MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n  \n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \n  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Colossians 1:3-11 \n3 We always thank God\, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ\, when we pray for you\, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way\, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras\, our dear fellow servant\,[a] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[b] behalf\, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. \n9 For this reason\, since the day we heard about you\, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives\,[c] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work\, growing in the knowledge of God\, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience\, \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said\, “Greetings\, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” \n29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her\, “Do not be afraid\, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son\, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David\, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” \n34 “How will this be\,” Mary asked the angel\, “since I am a virgin?” \n35 The angel answered\, “The Holy Spirit will come on you\, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age\, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.” \n38 “I am the Lord’s servant\,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. \nBenediction \nAnnouncements \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nCelebration Zone on-site- December 4th @10:30 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. \n“Christmas Everyday\,” (script by Naveem Laksmanan) Play \nPlan to invite families and friends\, and neighbours for the presentation on December 18 @10:30 a.m. \nCovid-19 Precautions \nPray without ceasing\, continue to be diligent.\nStay home\, especially if showing symptoms.\nWash hands frequently with soap and water!!!\nSanitize hands and surfaces.\nWear masks; still consider others ( if in enclosed areas ) \nDecember 4th  SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE @ 5:00-6:15 P.M. Let our leaders choose peace instead of war. Enable the countries at war to find peaceful ways to communicate with each other. Let our leaders across this country discern and embrace meaningful dialogues that promote peace in all areas. Bless your church\, O Lord we pray and let your peace be shared among us. \n
