SUMMARY:Sunday Worship Bulletin
DESCRIPTION: WARD MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH\n  \n“My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17 \nMISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \nVISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2  \n  \nOrder of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOpening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team\n\n\nScripture Reading: Nehemiah 1:1-11 \nThe words of Nehemiah son of Hakaliah: \nIn the month of Kislev in the twentieth year\, while I was in the citadel of Susa\, 2 Hanani\, one of my brothers\, came from Judah with some other men\, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile\, and also about Jerusalem. \n3 They said to me\, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down\, and its gates have been burned with fire.” \n4 When I heard these things\, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said: \n“Lord\, the God of heaven\, the great and awesome God\, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments\, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants\, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites\, including myself and my father’s family\, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands\, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses. \n8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses\, saying\, ‘If you are unfaithful\, I will scatter you among the nations\, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands\, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon\, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’ \n10 “They are your servants and your people\, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord\, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” \nI was cupbearer to the king. \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. In the same way\, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras\, our dear fellow servant\,[a] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[b] behalf\, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. \n9 For this reason\, since the day we heard about you\, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives\,[c] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work\, growing in the knowledge of God\, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience\, \n\n\n\nPraise and Worship: contd..\n\n\nSermon: Ps. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said\, “Greetings\, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” \n29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her\, “Do not be afraid\, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son\, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David\, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” \n34 “How will this be\,” Mary asked the angel\, “since I am a virgin?” \n35 The angel answered\, “The Holy Spirit will come on you\, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age\, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.” \n38 “I am the Lord’s servant\,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. \nBenediction \nAnnouncements \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nWMBC is… \n(Vision Statement) “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.” \n(Mission Statement)“Transformation”- Romans 12:2 (Vision Statement) \n– All are welcome at WMBC \nPrayer Sessions: Time –Wednesday: 7:00-8:30 p.m.; Sundays: 9:45 a.m. \nLIVE STREAMING OF WMBC SERVICES WILL BE ON SUNDAYS @ 10:30 A.M.  https://wmbaptistchurch.ca In-person church services commence at 10:30 a.m.      Invite families and friends. \nCelebration Zone on-site- December 4th @10:30 a.m. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. \n“Christmas Everyday\,” (script by Naveem Laksmanan) Play \nPlan to invite families and friends\, and neighbours for the presentation on December 18 @10:30 a.m. \nCovid-19 Precautions \nPray without ceasing\, continue to be diligent.\nStay home\, especially if showing symptoms.\nWash hands frequently with soap and water!!!\nSanitize hands and surfaces.\nWear masks; still consider others ( if in enclosed areas ) \nDecember 4th  SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE @ 5:00-6:15 P.M. AT WMBC \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: John 4:1-26 \n4 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John— 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized\, but his disciples. 3 So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. \n4 Now he had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar\, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there\, and Jesus\, tired as he was from the journey\, sat down by the well. It was about noon. \n7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water\, Jesus said to her\, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) \n9 The Samaritan woman said to him\, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a]) \n10 Jesus answered her\, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink\, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” \n11 “Sir\,” the woman said\, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob\, who gave us the well and drank from it himself\, as did also his sons and his livestock?” \n13 Jesus answered\, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again\, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed\, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” \n15 The woman said to him\, “Sir\, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” \n16 He told her\, “Go\, call your husband and come back.” \n17 “I have no husband\,” she replied. \nJesus said to her\, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is\, you have had five husbands\, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” \n19 “Sir\,” the woman said\, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain\, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” \n21 “Woman\,” Jesus replied\, “believe me\, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know\, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth\, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit\, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” \n25 The woman said\, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes\, he will explain everything to us.” \n26 Then Jesus declared\, “I\, the one speaking to you—I am he.” \nPraise and worship contd. \nMessage: “Personal Encounter With Jesus” by Pastor Gunn \n \nChristmas box deadline for collection is November 13. Pastor Jusuf Wijaya                            604 724-1158 \nG&I Shining Stars Youth Society              604 307-9237 \nAssoc. Pastor Gary Hockridge                  604 255-6242 \nYouth Pastor: Jeremy Kwan                     613-316-8975 \nChurch Moderator: Chris Lim                  604-722-1800  \n\nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: Ephesians 4:1-16 \n\n\n\n\nAs a prisoner for the Lord\, then\, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient\, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit\, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord\, one faith\, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all\, who is over all and through all and in all. \n7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[a] says: \n\n“When he ascended on high\,\n    he took many captives\n    and gave gifts to his people.”[b] \n\n9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower\, earthly regions[c]? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens\, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles\, the prophets\, the evangelists\, the pastors and teachers\, 12 to equip his people for works of service\, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature\, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. \n14 Then we will no longer be infants\, tossed back and forth by the waves\, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead\, speaking the truth in love\, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head\, that is\, Christ. 16 From him the whole body\, joined and held together by every supporting ligament\, grows and builds itself up in love\, as each part does its work. \n\n\nPraise and Worship Contd. \nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nMessage: “United in the body of Christ” by  Pastor Jusuf Wijaya. \nBenediction \nAnnouncements\nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. \nESL Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in downstairs Fellowship Hall.\nInterested Volunteer teachers\, contact Yvonne. \nCelebration Zone on-site October – 30. \nThanks to all those who helped with the mini- Mystery evening for Kids last Thursday. \nTeaser: Those interested in participating in Christmas Play for December 18\, (actors\,vocals\,instruments\, set design\, audio visuals etc.)\, Consider praying about your participation.\nMore details\, next Sunday. \nCovid-19 Precautions \nPray without ceasing\, continue to be diligent.\nStay home\, especially if showing symptoms.\nWash hands frequently with soap and water!!!\nSanitize hands and surfaces.\nWear masks; still consider others ( if in enclosed areas ) \nOctober 30th SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE @ 5:00-6:15 P.M. He turned around in the crowd and asked\, “Who touched my clothes?” \n31 “You see the people crowding against you\,” his disciples answered\, “and yet you can ask\, ‘Who touched me?’ ” \n32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman\, knowing what had happened to her\, came and fell at his feet and\, trembling with fear\, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her\, “Daughter\, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” \nPraise and worship contd. \nMessage: “Who is Jesus!” by Pastor Jusuf Wijaya.  \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Announcements/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \n \n  \n  \nChristmas box deadline for collection is November 13. Like the rest\, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us\, God\, who is rich in mercy\, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus\, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace\, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved\, through faith—and this is not from yourselves\, it is the gift of God—9 not by works\, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork\, created in Christ Jesus to do good works\, which God prepared in advance for us to do. \nJew and Gentile Reconciled Through Christ \n11 Therefore\, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands) —12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ\, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise\, without hope  and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. \n14 For he himself is our peace\,  who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier\, the dividing wall of hostility\, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two\, thus making peace\, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross\, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. \n19 Consequently\, you are no longer foreigners and strangers\, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of his household\, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets\, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. \n  \nPraise and Worship Contd. \nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nMessage: “Are you living in the Old or New Life?” by  Pastor Jusuf Wijaya. \nBenediction \nAnnouncements \nCelebration of Life for Pastor Layne Daggett was celebrated yesterday\, October 1st at Kitsilano Community Church. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ\, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace\, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood\, the forgiveness of sins\, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding\, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure\, which he purposed in Christ\, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. \n11 In him we were also chosen\,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will\, 12 in order that we\, who were the first to put our hope in Christ\, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth\, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed\, you were marked in him with a seal\, the promised Holy Spirit\, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. \nPraise and Worship Contd. \nGod’s Tithes Our Offering: E-transfer to: wardoffering@gmail.com; questions\, contact Vanessa @ +1 (778) 837-7408\, or vness.lal@gmail.com \nCan also drop off in mail slot at church or send by mail. \nMessage: “The Faithful in Christ” by  Ps.Jusuf Wijaya. \nBenediction \nAnnouncements \nDedication of baby Noah Cyril by Ps.Jusuf Wijaya \nBaptism: Speak with Pastor Jusuf if you are interested in baptism. AT WMBC. \nOpening Prayer/Welcome/Announcements/Worship/Praise: Worship Team \nScripture Reading: John 21:4-14 \n4 Early in the morning\, Jesus stood on the shore\, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. \n5 He called out to them\, “Friends\, haven’t you any fish?” \n“No\,” they answered. \n6 He said\, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did\, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. \n7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter\, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say\, “It is the Lord\,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat\, towing the net full of fish\, for they were not far from shore\, about a hundred yards.[a] 9 When they landed\, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it\, and some bread. \n10 Jesus said to them\, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish\, 153\, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them\, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him\, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came\, took the bread and gave it to them\, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead. \nSpeaker:  Pastor Gary \nMessage Title – “Breakfast on the Beach” \nCell Groups: \n-Gary Hockridge and Hercules Tupas\, E.
