WARD  MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH

My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17

MISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.”

VISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2

Order of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Opening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team
Scripture Reading: Romans 7:19-25

19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature[a] a slave to the law of sin.

In addition, campers and staff participated in gardening, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, sports, baking, cooking cuisine from Egypt, Argentina, Japan and First Nations, arts and crafts, berry picking and canning, science, sports activities, field trips to the Police Museum / Burnaby Village Museum, and biking.

Continue to pray for Week 6, 7 & 8 as the camp focus on: Shine Your Light on Caring for Others, Compassion, as modeled by Jesus, organization, safety in travel and various activities in and outside the community.

Special Thanks to all who prayed, donated and participated with Shining Stars Camp Can-Do Staff, Volunteers, Campers in hosting the Shining Stars Camp Can-Do Community Carnival on Thursday, July 25th at the Kamloops Pop-up Plaza and the Ward Memorial Baptist Church (WMBC)  grounds, Thanks to HSCPC, Hastings Library, WMBC, Centre Street Church, HBIA, Donald’s Market and Pop-up Plaza Team.

Dear Lord, grant us fortitude /courage and perseverance to be your children of light especially in areas where darkness appears to suffocate your light. Let the power of your resurrection engulf our hearts, bodies, and souls to intentionally live lives that reflect your truth and unconditional love. Convict our hearts today and let us practice daily the truths that have been handed down to us.

Matthew 22:37-39: Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

James 1: 2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Let us pray for cessation of current wars and forgiveness to reign in all our hearts so that true peace can be experienced.
