Jesus Calms the Storm
35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.”36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Encouragement Verses
- Philippians 4: 6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- 2 Corinthians 4:15-17
“All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” - Philippians 4: 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
- Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Let us pray for all levels of governments, and reduction of non-productive rhetoric, harmony, and beneficial working relationship for the country; cessation of current wars, and allow hope, joy, love to reign in all our hearts so that true peace can be experienced.
Plan For Mission Fest Conference 2026
(from https://conference.missioncentral.ca/mfbc2026)
WHEN: February 12–14, 2026
WHERE: Chilliwack Heritage Park (44140 Luckakuck Way, Chilliwack, BC)
Theme: “My Love For You”
Our 2026 conference will be centered around experiencing Jesus’ manifest love for us, based on the Apostle John’s life-changing vision of Jesus in Revelation 1. John writes, in the introduction to that vision:
To him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5–6
