Dear Lord, in this New Year, continue to grant us prayerful hearts, of humility, love, discernment, and compassion for all those whom you put in our paths. Let us not be swayed from the purpose you have for us, as declared by Jeremiah, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Colossians 3:15-“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18-“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
John 13:34-35 – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another. –
Let us pray for cessation of current wars and forgiveness to reign in all our hearts so that true peace can be experienced.
