ward Memorial Baptist ChurchWARD  MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHRUCH

My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”  Isaiah 56:7 ~ Mark 11:17

MISSION:  “Making God known by sharing the Love of Christ.”

VISION: “Transformation”- Romans 12:2

Order of Service: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Opening Prayer/Worship: Worship Team
Scripture Reading: Matthew 12:22-30

22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”

24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”

25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29 “Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.

30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

MISSION FEST 2025: PRAY! PLAN TO PARTICIPATE!

WHEN: February 13–15, 2025
WHERE: Chilliwack Heritage Park (44140 Luckakuck Way, Chilliwack, BC )

This Year’s Theme ( https://conference.missioncentral.ca/mfbc2025)

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus wondrously and unwaveringly declares what He will do.

“Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” —Matthew 11:28

“I will build my church.” —Matthew 16:18

“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” —Matthew 4:19

“I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” —John 14:3

“and I will raise him up on the last day.” —John 6:40

And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” —Matthew 8:7

“And remember! I will be with you always.” —Matthew 28:20

When Jesus declares “I will,” or “I am willing,” these are actions and active statements that tell us where our attention ought to rest. There’s nothing more freeing and exciting than being around the One who is willing, who does the work, and who is present and active!

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

Philippians 2:13

Mission Fest BC 2025 will focus on all of Jesus’ “I will” declarations. As we immerse ourselves in the knowledge of what Jesus is like and what Jesus delights to do, we anticipate that we will experience Jesus just as we did at last year’s conference: a person who is all, who is real, and who brings evidence of His touch.

On January 28 at 5:30pm PST, we are pleased to invite Jodi Spargur (Red Clover/CBM) and David Nacho (FBC Vancouver) for Doctrine of Discovery: Exploring Its Hidden Roots. This free webinar will provide an hour of teaching on the Doctrine of Discovery, its historical arc, and what it has to do with us as Baptists. We will also hear from Indigenous voices speaking on the impact the Doctrine of Discovery still has on them today. Register here.

Using Ai Basics and Why it Matters to the Church. Watch for more details soon on a webinar coming February 13th about using AI in ministry.

And speaking of online resources, we’ve got a growing series of free 5-minute videos to play in your Board or Elders meeting to help with various important aspects of leadership and administration of a CBWC church. Download or stream Board Essentials here.

Encouragement Verses

  • John 14:27: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
  • Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
  • Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
  • Daniel 12:3 “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”

Let us pray for cessation of current wars, and allow hope, joy, love to reign in all our hearts so that true peace can be experienced.
